Terms of Service

These terms explain how translation requests are placed, processed, paid for, and delivered through KabayanXpress.

Effective September 14, 2026

1. Service operator

KabayanXpress is a document translation service operated by Lexcode Inc. (“Lexcode,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Lexcode is the contracting seller and service provider for requests placed through this website.

2. Translation services

We provide document translation, certification, optional notarization support, digital delivery, and any hard-copy pickup or delivery option shown during checkout. The available languages, document types, prices, and estimated turnaround times are displayed before you submit a request.

A translation certificate is not the same as an apostille, notarization, embassy approval, visa decision, or acceptance by a receiving authority. You are responsible for checking that authority’s current format, language, certification, and submission requirements before ordering.

3. Requests and contract formation

You submit a request by uploading the source documents, selecting the service options, providing accurate contact and delivery details, accepting the legal policies, and confirming the order. We issue a control number so you can track the request. A paid service contract is formed when we accept the request and your payment is confirmed.

We may ask for clearer files or additional instructions, correct an obvious pricing or configuration error before accepting payment, or decline material that is unlawful, unsafe, fraudulent, or outside our service scope. If we cannot perform an already-paid request, we will cancel it and provide the applicable refund.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Provide complete, legible, and accurate source documents and instructions.
  • Use an email address and phone number you can access for status notices and questions.
  • Upload only content you own or are authorized to submit for translation and processing.
  • Do not submit malware, unlawful content, or information you are prohibited from disclosing.
  • Review names, dates, numbers, and authority-specific requirements promptly when asked.

5. Pricing and payment

The checkout summary shows the document price, extra-page charges, notarization, delivery, convenience fee, valid voucher or referral discount, and total payable amount. The final amount is recalculated from server-held pricing and order data before payment; browser-displayed values do not override that calculation.

Eximbay processes payment. We send Eximbay the order identifier, amount, currency, and the buyer contact details required for payment. Payment credentials such as the full card number are entered into and handled by Eximbay and its participating payment providers, not stored in KabayanXpress application records.

6. Processing, timing, and delivery

Turnaround times are estimates based on the selected document type, page count, service options, business hours, and holidays. Timing may change if a file is incomplete, illegible, unusually complex, or if we need your clarification. We will show status updates through the tracker and may contact you by email or phone.

Completed digital files are made available through the secure request tracker. Printed copies, where selected, are subject to the pickup or third-party courier details confirmed for the request. A courier’s delivery schedule is outside our direct control, but we remain responsible for our obligations under applicable consumer law.

7. Technology and document processing

KabayanXpress runs on Cloudflare. Application records are held in D1, new document uploads and generated files are stored in R2, and Workers AI may process document content for classification and service routing. Cloudflare Email Sending delivers transactional notices. Background processing and live status updates may use Cloudflare Queues, Cron Triggers, and Durable Objects.

Historical database records may refer to source files from the previous system that were not copied into the new Cloudflare storage. When a historical object is unavailable, the tracker will explain that the source file was not included in the migration. This does not affect files uploaded after the Cloudflare cutover, which are stored in R2. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

8. Cancellations, corrections, and refunds

The Cancellation & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms. It explains how to cancel, how started or completed custom work affects a refund, how we handle defective or non-conforming services, and when funds are sent back through the payment method. Nothing in these Terms limits a non-waivable right under applicable consumer law.

9. Content and intellectual property

You retain your rights in the source content you submit. You grant us and our service providers a limited right to host, reproduce, transmit, and process that content only as needed to quote, translate, review, deliver, support, secure, and maintain the requested service.

We retain rights in the KabayanXpress service, software, brand assets, templates, and general translation methods. Once applicable charges are paid, you may use the delivered translation for the purpose of your request, subject to any third-party rights in the source material.

10. Availability and responsibility

We use reasonable care in providing the service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, acceptance by a third-party authority, or outcomes controlled by an embassy, employer, school, regulator, courier, payment provider, or other third party.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any mandatory consumer remedy.

11. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable Korean procedural and consumer law may hear disputes. If the law where you reside gives you mandatory consumer protections, these Terms do not take them away.

We may update these Terms for service, legal, or security changes. The effective date identifies the version that applies. Material changes will be announced in the service or by another reasonable method before they take effect when required by law.
